Our client approached Clifton Interiors with a clear vision for their garden maisonette, and we were thrilled to bring it to life. We meticulously renewed the fabric of the property. One of the main transformations was relocating the kitchen diner to the rear of the property, connecting it better to the garden. This connection was further enhanced with the addition of Crittal doors. In summer, these doors can be opened wide, creating a seamless connection between the kitchen and the social setting for alfresco dining. This significant change also enhanced the flow of the space, creating a more inviting entrance, a separate living room, and filling the kitchen with natural light.
Floor and wall finishes were renewed, making the home feel fresh while recognizing our client’s desire for a lived-in, imperfect charm with mismatched elements. In the master bedroom, we created an ensuite bathroom, transforming the maisonette into a true two-bedroom, two-bathroom home. The cornicing was carefully renewed and planned around the new layouts, and wood paneling was added to evoke a sense of vintage charm that complemented the client’s style and possessions.
A place to be
“This renovation was all about creating a comfortable sanctuary, a place to simply be. It’s a home full of individuality, where art and books find their own unique spaces, reflecting the personality and passions of its owner.”
