London Fields Home
The extension and refurbishment of this house in Hackney were carefully planned around the opening up of the rear of the ground floor of the property, the landscaping and the creation of three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It was designed to be contemporary, but at the same time, maintaining the integrity of its Victorian architecture. We gained planning permission for large roof lights, expansive glass doors at the rear and a wonderful oriel glass window, which provides a cosy place to sit in the kitchen, and at the same time, projects itself into the garden space. The use of interesting finishes and colour palates, some bold and some subtle, create much interest, and interplays with our clients own personal style. The interior architecture and decoration together make this one of our favourite design projects, unique and at the same time very homely.
