Our client approached us to refurbish and remodel her home which she felt it was in need of some TLC and an injection of brightness and light. We wanted to capitalise on the advantages of the existing open plan living room-kitchen area, beautiful sky lights and a view to die for from her bedroom over the London roof tops of Primrose Hill.
The palette was intended to create a neutral back drop, with the introduction of blues and pinks to highlight the abstract art commissioned for the project. The materials selected were of organic texture, and in easy to live with colours.
The wooden floors were lightened throughout, the existing kitchen painted and refurbished and a simple handrail added to the stairs where just a few of the seemingly subtle design elements that really served to transformed the space.
It was a pleasure to create a special space for our client to practice yoga and meditation. We commissioned a special semi sheer and flowing fabric painting to separate this sacred space from the office, and thus creating a truly adaptable area.
The end result is a calm, zen interior with a nod to the Scandinavian aesthetic.
Work From Home
Here we created two spaces which provide balance to each other. One a space to meditate and practice yoga, the other a calm space to work. The paired back design, with natural finishes and a semi sheer curtain that allows light to spread through the room results in airy peaceful setting that alleviates stress.
